It's not just about volume, even though I love not having to run the amp near max to compete with a full band, and if I want to I can shake the walls, it's more about the full tone that having plenty of bass adds even at low volumes, it's warm and lush and I think the 2x12" speakers is the primary reason.

I can't add anything about the XL, it looks nice and I considered it before buying the MS, but I think the is a better amp, it does have 2x12" though, big advantage. Huntington Sta.
