There are many docklets available in the ObjectDock gallery on Wincustomize.
The steps to install and use these docklets should basically be the same. However, some docklets might require extra steps, so be sure to always read the included documentation for instructions. Try ObjectDock for free.
When you download a docklet from WinCustomize it will typically be a. The first thing to do is to unzip the file into the docklets folder in your ObjectDock directory. Now go to the dock you wish you put the docklet in and right-click on an empty area in the dock.
Hover over "add", and you will now see a list of installed docklets. Select the docklet you wish to use, and click on it. For this article I will be using the iTunes docklet, so that's the one I select. Once selected the docklet should now be visible on the dock.
Depending on what type of docklet it is, you might have to configure it. For example if it's a mail checker docklet then you would have to add your e-mail information for it to work properly.
Most times you would just right-click the docklet and select from it's list of options. As stated above, always check the docklets folder for installation and configuration instructions. This docklet will display the album artwork from iTunes, and I can use it to change tracks or playlists, plus much more. There are many more docklets available that can add useful information to your docks. One of my favorites is the mail checker docklet in which it will notify me when I get a new e-mail, and how many are in my inbox.
Updated with new images. I'm aware how to use the ones that come with OD2. However where do you find other dockets to add to OD such as the mail checker or others.

Here I changed the Attention effect to bounce. On the Appearance tab you can change the size of your icons, etcetera, etc. Here I changed the background. If you don't like any and would like to have an invisible background lower the opacity to transparent.
Changing the opacity will make you dock have an appealing effect. By the way, before I forget, you can also change the orientation of your dock.
On the "ObjectDock Properties" select the Positioning tab and go to the "edge on screen" to change it. To add icons you can go to the Docklets tab and select some form the list.
I chose the recycle bin. You will then right-click it and select weather docklet properties, there you can enter your zip code and hit update. To insert and icon that is not in your options you need to do a few things. There you will select Display open windows along with my icons. Then after that you just need to have the program that you want to add open. It will be displayed to the right of your dock. If you are happy with your theme, the icons and appearance, you can save it by going to the "ObjectDock Properties" selecting the Themes tap, and also the "Save current dock.
To check that you have saved it, on the same tab Themes select "go to my image library," there select the folder by the name of "Baked up Themes" and it should be there. Reply 13 years ago on Introduction. Thanks for the Instructable.
